INTO ALLENTOWN
SHE SAYS
This morning I jumped in my Mackbox and headed for Allentown where I met the dashing White Knight, John Kern, as he came rolling in on his wheels of fire just in time to accompany yours truly to the grand opening of the America on Wheels Museum.
We had just arrived at this utterly fabulous museum when we ran into New Century’s regal couple, Anita and John Zimmerman, in the Mack truck section of the museum enjoying one of the trucks that John had painted in his earlier life. Ever the prince, Sir John promptly escorted us to the trucker kiosk to relish the moment of hearing my Knights describe their lives as truck drivers. And what a proud moment it was.
Let’s give these Knights of the Road their kudos.

On Saturday afternoon, I had the pleasure to visit the new America on Wheels museum in Allentown PA. I noticed, while going through Allentown, how old the town really is and how all the older homes are so well kept up. Upon arriving at the museum, which is located in a old part of the industrial part of Allentown, I thought it was in the perfect location.
Once you enter, I could feel the warmth and care they took in making the wonderful museum. They have a store full of nice items for all ages. It is a 2 story museum with quite of few older cars like the 1954 Jaguar that is one the lower level to the older muscle cars like the older Mopar Super Bee. There were several very older motor bikes, motor cycles to a very futuristic motor cycle. There are a few very restored old Mack trucks like the older fire engine and a Mack that is set up as simulator which allows the kids to feel like they driving a big truck.
Right next to that simulator is were my friend, Sheryl Youngblood's, special project is displayed. It is well worth listening to. You will also notice how well they covered the history in Allentown and the PA through out the entire museum.
They covered the history on America on Wheels with total class and well worth visiting. Afterwards do as we did, find a small cafe and enjoy a nice meal, it was the perfect ending to a wonderful day.
